2014 Parking Information

There is no known free, on-street parking.

A parking garage and adjacent surface lot are both located across the street from the dorms, and next to the Academic Classroom Building where the sessions and hands-on labs will be presented.

Parking in either the:

  • Parking garage (it gets hot in North Carolina during the summer) is available for $1/hour, with a $6 per day maximum PER ENTRY. Every time you enter the parking garage, the 6-hour maximum starts again, thus in/outs could result in a charges exceeding $6 per day. You will pull a ticket with your entry date and time when entering the garage, and if leaving before 7PM turn in the pull ticket and pay the gate attendant. If leaving after 79PM, a payment kiosk accepts coins, bills up to $20, and Visa, Mastercard, and Amex credit cards (no Discover).
  • Surface lot, adjacent to the parking garage, is available for $6/day with unlimited in-outs. Single or multi-day mirror HANG TAGS must be purchased in the Parking Services office located in the northwest corner of the garage. Park in the surface lot, walk in to the Parking Services office to purchase the Hang Tag, then return to your car to display it. To purchase a hang tag you will need: your car make, model, year, color; license plate state, and number; maybe your driver's license; and cash or credit card - Visa, Mastercard, and Amex credit cards (no Discover). The surface lot is free on weekends - so if you are arriving on Wednesday evening and staying through Saturday, you only need a 3-day hang tag ($18), or if you are arriving on Thursday, staying through Saturday, only a 2-day pass.
