Gone Rick Troth BMC * 8 Copyright 1996, Richard M. Troth, all rights reserved. * (casita sourced) This is the README file for what I'm calling GONE 4.2.2. It happened back in '93 just after I had been ripped from VM and shoved into UNIX. I had been playing with the mail filter program that comes with Elm (a UNIX mail program). It had a neat way of mapping string fragments in each incoming message to invoke differing actions. This is version four because I know of at least three other GONE implementations: Hank Nussbacher's (CUNY), the old PROP version, and (perhaps) another that was IBM internal. I held back on letting this one out for a long time because Hank is a friend and I considered GONE to be his "turf"; but I don't think he objects to this. Look ... I've way overextended myself. If someone would like to take this over, drop me a note Rick Troth <troth@casita.houston.tx.us> As long as I do maintain it, updates can probably be found at http://casita.houston.tx.us/~troth/software/gone.vmarc or http://ua1vm.ua.edu/~troth/software/gone.vmarc Enjoy! -- Rick Troth <troth@casita.houston.tx.us>, Houston, Texas, USA http://casita.houston.tx.us/~troth/
